La Parisienne

She is just a fragment of a larger fresco from the Knossos
palace on Crete.
La ParisienneDiscovered by Arthur Evans in 1903,
she was named La Parisienne, because she so much mirrored
what people found beautiful at that time.
The fresco was painted 1450-1400 BC. I find it just mind-
blowing that she has survived
for more than 3.500 years. Today she can be seen in
Heraklion museum, Crete.

Anything else? Well she certainly tells us, that the use of
eye liner and lipstick is not a modern invention! 😉
