The Beach Boys – Sloop John B
The Beach Boys is one of the groups in the sound track of American Graffiti. They were quite popular in the 60’s, but I never really listened to them. (I was more into Beatles and Stones.) After reviewing American Graffiti, I went to YouTube just for fun to listen to something else with them. I must say that they were not bad at all!

Björk and Anthony – Dull flame of desire
Björk and Anthony seem to me like sister and brother, and they sound beautiful together. Here in Dull flame of desire from 2007. The video is interesting. There was a competition, and the third best contenders got to illustrate 1/3 each of the video.
Arno Santamaria – Debout
Florent Amodio – Parla più piano
The Beatles – If I fell in love with you
This song is from the album A hard day’s night, released in 1964. I had become a fan in 1963, when they did a tour in Sweden. They also appeared in a Swedish TV-show. I was 16 years at the time – just the right age to be grabbed by Beatlemania!
Sissel Kyrkjebø, Warren G – Prince Igor
Another example of a beautiful meeting between different cultures. The Norwegian soprano Sissel Kyrkjebø sings togeteher with American rapper Warren G in this number from the album The Rapsody Overture (1998) . Warren G. raps his song Reality, while Sissel Kyrkjebø sings the Russian refrain from Alexandr Borodin’s opera Prince Igor.
Exciting!

Rufus Wainwright – Chelsea Hotel
Another video-clip from the tribute film to Leonard Cohen – I’m your man. Rufus Wainwright sings Chelsea Hotel.
Amaury Vassili – Laisse moi t’aimer
Fabien Incardona – Racine
French singer Fabien Incardona is a new favourite of mine. Here he sings “Racine” in the TV-show Rising Star!
